SUGGESTED INSTRUCTIONS & TIPS
ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES+ Foam core board (I recommend www.walmart.com/ip/Elmer-s-Acid-Free-Foam-Board-20-x-30-x-3-16-2pk/17011427 available at Walmart and Michael's)+ Frame that has *flexible metal tabs securing the backing* -- 16x20 or 11x14 per your purchased print size. A low-cost option I recommend is this one from Michael’s. It’s usually on sale, or search "michaels coupon": https://www.michaels.com/white-belmont-frame-by-studio-decor/M10392845.html ALTERNATELY - (I've never tried this myself) If you opt for an open back frame (doesn't come with a backing), you'll need to figure out a way to secure the foam core. A staple gun might work. DIY STEPS+ Trim foam board to 16x20 or 11x14 inches+ Bend up metal tabs on the back of the frame but don’t take them out. + Carefully remove glass and backing. + Place print on foam board, keeping skin-to-print contact to a minimum. Gluing is not necessary for this method. + Insert print with foam board into frame. + Replace frame’s original backing. + Bend down metal tabs to re-secure. ALTERNATE NO-FRAME OPTION - (I've never tried this myself) You can use spray adhesive to mount the print onto foam core if you want to display it without a frame. Search "how to mount a print" in your browser. |
